{ Sister’s Rock, Orange NSW }

The thoughtful boyfriend planned a small weekend getaway to Orange in celebration for a special milestone (for those who don’t know what went down then go here { this is our story }). It was our last day before heading back to reality so we decided to end our getaway over lunch with a view at Borrodell Vineyard.

Views here are absolutely breath taking its one of those views you can never get sick of and as for the food, unfortunately it’s quite mediocre with nothing to rave on about other than the view and the great service. Wasn’t as great as I had hoped for so felt a bit bummed at the misleading by reading some of the reviews. Lunch menu seems to have an asian influence and is $70 for three courses.

Marinated beef (medium rare) with delicious sweet marinade, toasted sesame seeds, fried shallots with cold soba noodles

Butter chicken king prawns with rice and papapdams


Mr.P absolutely loves raw meat (rare)… bleeding as though its a live on your plate… he throughly enjoyed his bloody veal.


Totally not a fan of red bleeding meat so I decided to play it safe by enjoying a vegetarian fetta and spinach burek.


Homemade warm apple pie, picked and grown from their own apple orchards. Absolutely loved it, tarty just the way I like it.


Mr.P ordered rhubarb and mango crumble which wasnt nice at all.. he basically left his dessert back so I shared mine with him :)
