Kepos Street Kitchen is one the hippest brunch places to try at the moment. For The Grounds of Alexandria lovers, Kepos serves their signature coffee beans from their roastery.. so screw lining up for your coffee fix there when you can head over here!!

Kepos Street Kitchen is a Mediterranean inspired cafe restaurant which is located on the borderline of Redfern, Surry Hills and Waterloo. The vibe here is great as it makes the perfect place to enjoy brunch with great company thanks to the lovely natural lighting, the wooden and white simplistic decor makes this place enjoyable without the staff trying to shoo you out for a quick turnover rate. I believe Kepos Street Kitchen offers a great breakfast menu and had wished I’d woken up earlier to give it a shot as it looks amazing. Instead I got stuck with their lunch menu which was fulfilling. Definitely a place to try if you haven’t been here but please note, there is a very long wait. At 2pm, as our wait time was 40minutes considering restaurant closes at 3pm so try get in before that because they may stop taking customers at 3pm.

Refreshing beverages: As mentioned above, The Grounds of Alexandria coffee beans from their roastery is served here plus a selection of organic herbal teas to choose from and refreshing mocktail mojitos.

Juicy steak sandwich: friendly waitress recommends their steak sandwich to be cooked rare to medium rare due to the quality of the cut of meat.

Falafel sandwich: Its been a while since I’ve had a falafel and could not pass this for something else. Its rare to see this on a menu in a cafe restaurant and other foodies have said their falafel sandwich is amazing! Its crunchy, golden on the outside and the center is soft and melts and crumbles in your mouth. Only downside was that the bread didn’t seem to be schiacciata bread where its fluffy and absorbs all flavours….instead was toasted sourdough consistency which was very hard to swallow too solid to eat which made it hard to eat and dry and was worried about cutting my gums more than anything :(.

Kepos offers a selection of delicious cakes. Totally in love with the ‘lemongrass, yoghurt, coconut slice’ absolutely to DIE FOR!!!!!
